Recently, the results of the 2025 “China College Students Self-Reliance Star” event were announced. Li Yumo, a 2023 student majoring in Information Security at our university’s School of Future Information Technology, was awarded the honorary title of “China College Student Self-Reliance Star.”

The “China College Students Self-Reliance Star” event is guided by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the All-China Student Federation, and jointly organized by China Youth Daily, China Youth Development Foundation and other organizations. It aims to select outstanding new generation university students with outstanding achievements in patriotism, moral promotion, technological innovation, independent entrepreneurship, volunteer public welfare, resilience despite physical disabilities, and self-reliance, guiding young students to take on responsibilities and strive to succeed.

Since enrolling, Li Yumo has always adhered to the philosophy of “self-improvement, self-reliance, and all-round development” firmly upheld her ideals and beliefs, actively participated in youth study sessions organized by the school, and always regulated her words and actions by the standards of an outstanding Party member. He insists on diligent study and dedication, excels at the top of his class, and has won the university’s first-class scholarship multiple times. Diligent and dedicated in his studies, he has achieved outstanding academic performance, ranking at the top of his class and receiving multiple First-Class University Scholarships. He is also deeply engaged in scientific research and has taken part in various high-level academic competitions, winning numerous national and provincial awards, including the First Prize at the National Finals of the 19th “Challenge Cup” National College Student Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Competition. In addition, Li Yumo places great emphasis on practical experience and voluntary service, having accumulated 497 hours of volunteer work. He has been recognized with honorary titles such as Advanced Individual in Winter Vacation Social Practice. Through his self-reliance, sense of responsibility, and proactive actions, he exemplifies the uplifting and enterprising spirit of college students in the new era.

This honor serves as a vivid manifestation of our university’s commitment to the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talents, as well as the deep integration of ideological guidance and practical education. It also reflects the resounding commitment of our students to integrate personal aspirations into the nation’s pursuit of greatness. The university will continue to deepen its educational philosophy of “simultaneous development of five dimensions of education,” harness the power of role models to inspire young students’ internal motivation, and guide them to energize their youth with a striving spirit, living up to the expectations of this era and their youthful potential.
